Workers, community and labour groups joined forces earlier this month to protest Legal Aid cuts at Brampton South Conservative MPP Sarkaria's office. We made it loud and clear that we want our MPPs to represent their communities and stop making cuts that hurt us. If we can keep building on this solidarity in Peel, our elected officials will be forced to hear us and do what is right.
This is why in less than two weeks the Peel Power of Many from the Ontario Federation of Labour, Brampton $15 and Fairness, Injured Workers Action For Justice, will jointly host the Peel Solidarity Picnic to celebrate our labour victories in the fightback against cuts.
The date of our picnic has been changed to Sunday, September 15 from 1 to 4 pm at Chingacousy Park.
