THE POWER OF MANY
TAKE BACK ONTARIO

Greater Toronto/Hamilton Area (GTHA)

The Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA) is the most densely populated area in Canada. The Conservative's $900 million funding cut to Toronto Public Health, and the possible takeover of transit by the provincial government present distinct challenges for vulnerable communities in this area of Ontario.

The PC government has weakened and removed protections meant to keep us safe, cancelled important programs, instituted a hiring freeze in the public service, which is akin to job losses, cut funding to key public services like education and social service supports, and moved toward merging, closing and privatizing health care delivery programs and services. It continues to put businesses ahead of people.

Get involved in your community and your union. Join the campaign to fight for decent work, public services, equality and justice, as well as safe and healthy communities for all.

Contact the OFL to get involved and be part of the Power of Many campaign.
