In recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, let’s talk about the groundwork we need to lay to ensure we have a government that is committed to transformative change and takes action to challenge injustice and address barriers for racialized people.

On Thursday, March 18, 7:00pm – 8:30pm, join the Ontario Federation of Labour for a town hall discussion on anti-racism with NDP Anti-Racism Critic Laura Mae Lindo, NDP Indigenous and Treaty Relations Critic Sol Mamakwa, NDP Citizenship, Foreign Credentials and Immigration Services Critic Doly Begum and NDP Nominees Felicia Samuel and Marjorie Knight.

MPPs Lindo, Mamakwa and Begum and NDP Nominees Samuel and Knight will discuss the work they are doing to address barriers to racialized people’s safety and progress including systemic racism, xenophobia, carding, over-policing, employment equity, lack of affordable housing, and economic security, and their initiatives going towards the 2022 provincial election.
